Steve Ray 12/02/1955 – 10/20/2019

As Steve Ray’s battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/Lou Gehrig’s Disease), progressed, he moved from using a cane to using a walker to using what became his only option for mobility – a power wheelchair. A person does not realize how important accessibility is until it hits you personally. Although there were many businesses and activities that were either difficult or impossible to enter or navigate, one place he could always count on was Crescent Beach, thanks to the boardwalk. It is accessible the entire way and on a good day he could motor all the way to the outside seating at the taproom for a cold one! Steve Ray 12/02/1955 – 10/20/2019
